CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (Black). It is a color model used in color printing and describes the process of mixing these four inks to produce a wide range of colors. In the CMYK model, colors are created by subtracting (or absorbing) colors from white light. This is in contrast to the RGB color model, which is used for digital displays and adds colors together to create colors.
