Read this excerpt from "The World on Turtle's Back." When the girl awoke , she knew that she would bear twins. Even before they were born there was contention between the twins. There was no peace between these two brothers. When it was time for them to be born, the right-handed twin wanted to be born in the normal way. The left-handed twin saw light in the other direction and was determined to be born through his mother's mouth or nose.In his attempt to be born in the opposite direction, he killed his mother. Based on this excerpt it is reasonable to conclude that the brothers were opposites and would always be in conflict. the right-handed brother was smarter than the left-handed one the left-handed brother wanted to murder his mother. the two brothers despised and wanted to kill each other.

## Step 1
The first step in solving this problem is to understand the context of the excerpt. The excerpt is from "The World on Turtle's Back" and it describes the birth of twins, the right-handed and the left-handed twin. The right-handed twin wants to be born in the normal way, while the left-handed twin wants to be born in the opposite direction.

## Step 2
The next step is to analyze the options given. The options are:
- the brothers were opposites and would always be in conflict.
- the right-handed brother was smarter than the left-handed one.
- the left-handed brother wanted to murder his mother.
- the two brothers despised and wanted to kill each other.

## Step 3
The final step is to choose the option that best fits the context of the excerpt. The excerpt does not provide any evidence that the right-handed brother was smarter than the left-handed one, or that the left-handed brother wanted to murder his mother. The excerpt also does not suggest that the two brothers despised and wanted to kill each other.

## Step 4
The excerpt does, however, suggest that the brothers were opposites and would always be in conflict. This is evident from the fact that they were born in different directions and had different birth methods. This conflict is further emphasized by the fact that the left-handed twin's birth method resulted in the death of his mother.
