The correct answer is: changed from high to low.<br /><br />When the aluminum can with water was heated, the water boiled and turned into steam. The steam increased the pressure inside the can. When the can was quickly turned upside down and placed in cold water, the steam condensed back into liquid water, decreasing the pressure inside the can. This sudden decrease in pressure caused the can to implode.
